| I have recently come into the good fortune of obtaining parts my thoughts back. (it is a process apparently) It is no longer filled with an opera score, foreign language pieces, life, future, 18 hours of school work. The only other thoughts besides those were, bathroom, food, and the occasional 2007 Spring Fashion Week!
Now that my thoughts are freed up, here's something I've begun thinking about...
Most of us have had a friend or loved one at some point say to us, "Don't you want me to be happy!?" This statement usually follows a discussion where there is a disagreement about life decisions. A couple of friends of mine are now in this special predicament, and the above statement was made by the one on the defense. I began thinking about all of this and recalling the good hand full of times I have been asked this by my friends; and even said it myself...."Don't you want me to be happy!?" (usually there's crying involved and the really fun hiccup noises from lack of oxygen)
But do I want them to be happy? Sure, but there are a number of other things that take precedent over that one on the list for me. Like possessing good character, wisdom, safety, fruitfulness, righteousness, being loved, holy... I think to have all those things it's going to require some unhappiness. Maybe a lot, maybe a little.
Different note...I graduate in 9 days!!!!!!!! I can't wait to be back in Houston:)

Soon I will leave this uncouth place know as Belton. Though I will be leaving one school to attend another (and it is insured that the new school will be much harder), it will not be in Belton.
Hooray Responsiblity!
(by the way, the weather here has been very nice as of late. a very "St. Patrick's Day" by John Mayer kind of feel) |
